Screen printing or is the process of preparing and putting black and white or color designs on woven material. The process is done by the administering a ink blocking stencil behind the woven materials. When a ink covered roller is put over the stencil it pushes the ink into the areas of the woven material that the stencil has open. This process is also known as silk screening or serigraphy. The original image is made on a overlay of tracing paper which is photocopied, printed, painted or drawn on top of. The best part of screen printing is the versatility it involves. The inks involved in screen printing can be used on many types of materials from textiles to wood and even plastics. Screen printing is very useful in industries such as clothing, printed electronic, balloons, medical devices, textile fabric, and even skateboard graphics.
