About Pet Care
Pet care is the treatment and care of household animals or pets. A pet is considered to be an animal that is held as a persons property for companionship and or enjoyment and over 60 percent of all households have some form of pet. There are many forms of pet care as there are many different animals today that include: dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish arthropods and Mollusks. Also, pets are broken down to domesticated or wild pets depending of the environment and or dangerousness of the pet. The most common household pets are dogs and cats as they are the easiest to train and care for. Pet care can consist of medical care and treatment, dieting programs, supplies, shelters, grooming, training or obedience schooling and pet sitting. The effects of pets in a household have proven to be detrimental to the health of both sick and the elderly people, especially those in hospitals.
