About Concrete

Concrete is one of the most common and versatile construction materials used today. Concrete is made out of cement and includes materials such as fly ash, slag cement, and small rocks (aggregate) like granite and gravel. Concrete is best described as a liquid paste that dries as a solid rock. The process known as hydration allows concrete to be moved in a powdered form of cement and when water is added and dries it becomes hard. Concrete is used on roads, motorways, walls, and put in holes to support beams for poles and fences. Concrete can be transported in large bags in its powdered form. But for large projects it is usually transported in its liquid form via concrete transportation truck and from there to a concrete pump into the location where it will set and dry solid. Some forms of concrete are; Mix design, Regular, concrete, High-strength concrete, Stamped concrete, High-performance concrete, Self-consolidating concretes, Vacuum concretes (steam based), Shotcrete, Pervious concrete, Installation, Characteristics, Cellular concrete, Cork-cement composites, Roller-compacted concrete, Glass concrete, Asphalt concrete, Rapid strength concrete, Rubberized concrete, Polymer concrete, Geopolymer or green concrete, Limecrete, Refractory Cement, and Innovative mixtures.
